Traditionally, building a granulation production line could involve sourcing different machines from different suppliers and hoping that they all work together. Intelligent Feed & Mixing: The first step of the production is to feed raw potassium chloride and sulfate to the Mannheim reactor. This reactor is equipped with a stirring and transmission device which helps with stabilization of the liquid. After the potassium sulfate comes out of the reaction tank, it is cooled via a specially designed cooler. A solid-liquid separator is used to separate the potassium sulfate and they are washed to remove excess chloride according to the SOP requirements.

After washing, a LANE Dryer is used to dry the raw SOP crystals from 20% to 2%.

2. The Granulation: For the SOP fertilizer granular system turnkey, LANE can design a production line according to scale. The initial raw materials are fed into the LANE double roller granulator. This is a dry granulator which uses tremendous pressure to compact crystals into a solid sheet, which is then mechanically crushed. LANE’s design integrates this double roller granulator not as a standalone unit, but as the core of a closed-loop system. The integrated design ensures the press is fed a perfectly consistent mix and that its output is ready for the next stage.

3. The Closed-Loop System: LANE's SOP fertilizer granular system turnkey is a closed-loop system. No raw materials are wasted in this process. The granules go directly to the LANE rotary screening system where on-size granules of 2-4mm are separated from smaller crystals. Oversized particles are crushed and sent back to the granulator.

This recycling loop is key to creating zero waste and maximum yield. This production line self-corrects itself and ensures every bit of raw material is converted into a saleable product. There is no manual handling and no pile of waste.


4. Coating, Cooling & Final Prep: The on-spec granules are then moved seamlessly through a LANE coating drum. Here, coatings with anti-caking agents are applied for a dust-free, polished finish. After that, they are sent to the LANE cooling Drum which stabilizes the temperature from the compaction process. This is an essential step as it prevents moisture attraction and ensures long-term storage stability.


5. Automated Packaging & Control: The finished cooled products are sent to the automatic packing machine where they are weighed and packed accurately. This entire process is governed by a centralized Process Control System (PCS).

Operators can monitor and control feed rates, roll pressure, screen efficiency, and coating dosage from a central command room. This allows for real-time adjustments. It is essential for providing consistent quality products.
